Literacy for Growth 2026 is the 4th Annual West Texas Literacy Summit, hosted by the Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin (LCPB). The summit will take place on April 29, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM CST at the Ellen Noël Art Museum in Odessa, Texas.

This regional event brings together educators, workforce leaders, employers, nonprofit organizations, and community partners who are committed to strengthening communities through literacy and workforce development across West Texas and the Permian Basin.

Attendees will experience a dynamic day of learning and collaboration, including a keynote presentation, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and community vendors. The summit highlights innovative strategies that connect adult education, English language learning, GED attainment, and essential skills development with workforce readiness and regional economic growth. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The summit will feature keynote speaker Jacqueline “Jackie” Aguilera, COABE’s 2026 Administrator of the Year. Aguilera is a nationally recognized strategist who works to strengthen adult education ecosystems through collaboration, innovation, and learner-focused design. As part of the Literacy Texas team, she leads community initiatives and supports statewide professional learning while building partnerships that expand opportunity for adult learners.

Literacy for Growth 2026 is proudly presented with the support of Diamondback Energy, our lead sponsor, whose commitment to education and workforce development helps make this important regional conversation possible.

LCPB members attend for free. If you are not currently a member, this summit is a great opportunity to join the coalition and become part of a regional network working to expand literacy and workforce opportunity. You can join and register at the link below.

Organizational members are welcome to reserve up to five spots through registration, allowing teams and partners to attend and participate together.

Whether you work in education, business, workforce development, or community leadership, Literacy for Growth 2026 offers an opportunity to connect, learn, and help strengthen the future of our regional workforce through literacy.
