The Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin invites you to The Power of Literacy Fundraiser, an inspiring evening celebrating how literacy impacts lives at every age, from children and students to working adults and seniors.

Literacy is more than reading. It strengthens families, supports educational success, opens pathways to employment, improves health outcomes, and empowers individuals to fully participate in their communities. When literacy is strengthened, the ripple effect is felt across generations.

Featuring keynote speaker Robert M. Edsel, acclaimed author of The Monuments Men and his newly released book, Remember Us, the evening will explore the power of stories to preserve history, foster understanding, and inspire action. Through reflections from Remember Us, Edsel will share how knowledge, learning, and remembrance shape individuals and communities alike.

This signature fundraising event brings together business leaders, educators, advocates, and community supporters committed to advancing adult literacy, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning throughout the region.

Honorary Chair Katy Morrow will help lead the evening in support of expanding literacy opportunities and creating lasting impact across the Permian Basin.
