Letticia brings extensive experience in business development, community engagement, and leadership to this role and a deep commitment to serving the Permian Basin community.

About Letticia Martinez
Beginning her career with the Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin as the Program and Development Coordinator, Lettcia has been a crucial member of our team in helping bring new programs to the Permian Basin and has spearheaded ESL programs for over 150 individuals. A proud Texan, Letticia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and began her education at South Plains Junior College. She has worked with the Business and Economic Development Center at Midland College and served as General Manager for the Spanish Language Univision Television Affiliate of the Permian Basin. Letticia is also an active community leader, serving on the Hispanic Cultural Center of Midland and the Salvation Army of Midland boards and contributing to the Greenwood Catholic Community Building Committee. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, CrossFit, and spending time with her family. Letticia will continue increasing literacy resources and strengthening community connections across the Permian Basin.
About the Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin
The Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin, launched in 2021 with support from the Abell-Hanger Foundation, Brown Foundation, FMH Foundation, and Permian Strategic Partnership, is dedicated to improving literacy and quality of life across the region. Key achievements include awarding $140,000+ in grants to regional libraries and literacy organizations, providing ESL training to 150+ individuals, assessing regional literacy rates, creating training programs for court-involved individuals, distributing 9,000 POWER bags to new moms to promote early literacy, and raising awareness of the literacy crisis impacting West Texans.
